I was only able to attend one day, but I loved it! Great band line-up and special guests. Would like to see more vendors selling original Beatles memorabilia. The Scottish Rite Center is an excellent venue for this show and it's such a pleasure having our own (meaning SF) Beatles convention!

The Scottish Rite Temple was perfect. The Theater was raked perfectly so everyone could easily see. The seats were very comfortable. We would be losing a lot to have this at a hotel.

I went to the show Friday, couldn't make Saturday, but returned Sunday. The bands were pretty good. The Beafore were funny and gave us a taste of the early Hamburg Beatles while the Beatrips gave us the Japanese version of a Beatles tribute band and were very entertaining(Their intro to Taxman was dead on!). Sunday was more laid back but more intimate and conducive to singalong, though sparsely attended. I especially liked the acoustic Rubber Soul guys and hope they'll be back. All in all, good variety and good music. We need to do a better job of spreading the word this year.
The theater was an excellent venue though the location was not that accesible by BART.

All of the bands were top notch! The venue was nice but since there were no hotels in walking distance, it got expensive taking cabs to/from.

Forgot to mention that dancing must absolutely be allowed!

The whole weekend was great, only we had to leave on Sunday, so we missed the more intimate setting. All the groups were fab, we especially liked the Beatrips. Even though "John" was Asian, he had him spot on! Jude Kessler and Bruce Spizer were so interesting and very approachable.
Scottish Rite Temple was a good venue, however, the lighting in the room with the Beatles gear wasn't the greatest. The stage area was perfect, though! The Fest was very well organized...great job Dr. Robert and all.

Hi, I thought you're first year was great, I loved the bands you had, and going to Abbey Road on the river and to Liverpool every year, I knew them all..which was great:-) The only complaint(and it's an important one) was the outlaw on dancing! That was crazy, so I hope you set it up at a place where you can dance! You couldn't even really dance in between the seats, as the floor was slanted!!! I go to fests all over the world..you have to be able to dance!!!!! Thanks, Laurie

Oh...that's her! Not registered says Christina Trillo wails. That's the girl I was talking about in the other blog. Please bring her back and let us know when she plays, I missed her second performance and I heard it was quite nice.

I would like to see Alan Goldsher, author of Paul The Undead (where the Beatles as Zombies). I think this will be a sci-fiction hit amoung the fans!

I'm so excited to attend my first Beatlefest West. I salute your team for getting the "second annual" off the ground. I heard wonderful comments about your "first". I noticed that The Beatles Project was listed on your web page, but not listed in your "updates" page. I'm planning to attend all 3 days and would love to see them.
